We Are People Over Petro

The coalition supports a wide-range of campaigns targeting the petrochemical expansion currently underway. Work is focused on actions at the grassroots level to halt and stop the massive network of cracker plants, pipelines, gas wells, a storage hub and related industries that would jeopardize the health of people and the environment. People Over Petro supports the growth of jobs in clean, renewable industries.

We share our wealth of resources and tools with members of the coalition to support important campaign work. This includes everything from factsheets and a research database on petrochemical health impacts to how to write letters to the editor, OpEds, testimonies for public hearings and speeches for rallies, sign-making, action strategies and more. 

Media is essential in pushing out campaign messaging. Many people across the country have no idea that the multi-state region is the country’s next sacrifice zone for gas industry expansion. By sharing news stories, videos, photos, and blogs on the coalition’s work we help to spread the message.
